I am so proud to be a son of Joan a truly remarkable woman, kind, principled, strong, determined, ambitious person that achieved so much in life, even now as I recover from a stroke and learn to walk again I hear her telling me to stop scuffing my feet as she did walking to Dormers Wells School when I was 5. the bedtime story of the little engine that could has shaped my life, a philosophy that she lived to the full. born into a humble beginning where she was not expected to own her own home, through hard work Mum moved to her dream home in the 1980's and was always there to help her sons when she could, the three of us were privileged to have been loved and nurtured by this remarkable woman, God rest your soMum with endless enduring love Raymond Clarke
